Archaeological excavation of possible prehistoric features

12th-16th and 19th-23rd August 2019

In partnership with Operation Nightingale, we will be carrying out an archaeological excavation of possible prehistoric features in the Bellshiel area of the Otterburn Ranges. Operation Nightingale is a military initiative, which uses archaeology to aid recovery of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. The features we plan to investigate include a possible Bronze Age Ring Cairn, prehistoric clearance cairn or burial monument and a linear earthwork.

No previous experience necessary. For full details and to book contact Karen Collins, Heritage and Engagement Officer on 07741 194309, karen.collins@nnpa.org.uk
