We are forecast a week of fine weather! Come and help scythe the wildflower meadow areas at St Cuthbert’s Church, Corsenside, make hay and bale it. Learn new skills. Meet people. Channel your inner Poldark!
Monday and Tuesday will be scything (approx. 10:30 – 16:00). Don’t worry if you haven’t scythed before or you’ve forgotten how – we can learn/re-learn together!
Wednesday will be raking (and finishing scything if needed), probably starting about 11:00
Thursday will be raking, probably starting about 11:00
Friday should be raking and baling hay (approx. 11:00 – 16:00). Families are welcome for this. Why not come for an hour or so, bring a picnic and have a go at making your own hay bale with our hand-baler?!
Please email Jennifer at jennifer.care@northwt.org.uk if you’d like to come and join in. You’re also welcome to pop in and say hello if you’re passing!
