Archaeological investigation of a Roman limekiln, possible civilian settlement and the western annexe in the environs of High Rochester Bremenium Roman fort by kind permission of the landowners.
Join us on our archaeological investigation as a volunteer for one or more days and learn new skills, have fun and help uncover Redesdale’s Roman past.
No previous experience necessary, but booking is essential.

We’re having a public open day with guided walks to the dig, on Thursday 15th September where you’ll be able to see finds from previous excavations on the site displayed at Rochester Roundhouse.
