The St Cuthbert’s Three-Church Trail Group were awarded a grant towards the re-establishment of a pathway and the construction of steps to improve access to St. Cuthbert’s church and Cuddy’s Well, Bellingham. The steps were dedicated in October 2021 by the Right Reverend Mark Wroe, Bishop of Berwick.

“The railings are designed to match the arch of the window in the Nave as you look up from the steps. Thank you to all of the wonderful craftsmanship and dedication of everyone involved. We intend to have a service of dedication to bless St. Cuthbert’s steps when the work is complete, to give thanks to everyone involved and all of the organisations who have supported our ambition to bring more visitors to St. Cuthbert’s Church, Cuddy’s Well, Bellingham and St. Cuthbert’s Three Church Trail.”
